Kellie Burke has 12 years of classroom experience as a high school social studies teacher, specializing in U.S. government and U.S. history. She also served as her school's International Baccalaureate (IB) Extended Essay Coordinator, guiding candidates for the IB Diploma in the research and writing process.
Currently pursuing a Masters in Library and Information Science at Old Dominion University, Kellie also has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from James Madison University and a Master of Education in Secondary Education through the University of Phoenix.
Beyond the field of education Kellie is also a mother of two young children (both of whom have inherited a love of books and the library!) and a sweet dog named Abby. Born and raised in Virginia, she loves to travel but is a homebody at heart.
